Event Details

All parents and guardians of Splash students are welcome to attend the Parents' Program.  Please register for the sessions you plan to attend so that we can find rooms of an appropriate size and order enough coffee.

If additional sessions are added to the list below, we'll announce them through our Facebook page.

Volunteers are still needed to introduce speakers, answer questions for first-time parents at our registration and information table, and help with setup and cleanup.  If you are available, sign up here through VolunteerSpot.  Volunteers who help with at least two tasks on one day will be invited to a private lunch with speakers, other volunteers, and our executive director.

If you aren't able to volunteer, we suggest a $20 donation to help cover our expenses and continue to spread Splash across the country.

Parking and Logistics

Parking is available. Information is posted at MIT ESP's website. You can find additional parking suggestions from MIT's Parking and Transportation department here.

More About Us

The program is being run by Learning Unlimited, a startup nonprofit organization founded by student alumni leaders of Splash programs everywhere. We are leading a movement of university students teaching pre-college students about everything and anything.

Like Splash itself, we're going to emphasize a spirit of unrestrained learning and exploration. We'll share what we know, and invite you to share what you know, too.

FAQs

What if the session I am interested in appears to be full?

If interest in a session exceeds its current space, we will try to find a room with more seating and then open up more registrations here.

The initial room assignment is a rough estimate based on which rooms are available and past attendance.  We appreciate you taking the time to register so that we can make better predictions about space needs.

Should I bring printed tickets to the event?

Printed tickets are required for campus tours.  Your optional registration is very helpful to us as we try to prepare for other sessions, but printed tickets are not required.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Feel free to ask questions on our Facebook page!  Your question may be answered by a speaker, our volunteer Organizer, Adrielle Stapleton, another Splash parent, or Learning Unlimited Executive Director Dan Zaharopol.
