Please note: Organiser of this event is the Netherlands Hydrographic Office
On 31st August, 2011, the Netherlands Hydrographic Office invites its national and European contacts to attend an open minisymposium to share the results of a recent research project by the institutes Deltares, MARIN and University of Twente. The final report is published online and the abstract is provided in the Annex. The results have led to changes in the bathymetric resurvey policy of the Royal Netherlands Navy, making more efficient monitoring of sea floor depth possible without reducing nautical safety.
The presentation of the project results and the new policy will be supported with information about North Sea wide coordination of bathymetric survey efforts. The intended audience are professionals from around the North Sea.The event will take place in the conference facilities of the Marinekazerne Amsterdam (Naval Barracks Amsterdam, Kattenburgerstraat 7), located at walking distance from the city center, right next to the Shipping Museum. It is highly recommended to use public transport, as finding parking space is difficult and the venue is close to Amsterdam Central Station.
Be aware that space is limited, we recommend that you register as early as possible.
Registration should be done by contacting the NLHO using the address email@example.com
As the event is hosted on a Ministry of Defence area, it is mandatory to register your name and affiliation in advance. Bring a valid passport or driving license.
