Andy Baker
4th Generation Builder, Maker, Fixer, Hacker

Andy grew up in northern New England, raised by a family with a rich history of taking things apart and putting them back together in new and better ways. Under the careful guidance of his grandfather, Andy learned to use a soldering iron and began building electric motors out of wine corks at the tender age of seven. Things only got more advanced from here, leading up to the construction of Van de Graaff Generators, telescopes, aircraft, and a high power CO2 laser resonator built entirely from parts from the hardware store and discarded refrigeration equipment . Andy moved on to spend the next 10 years in New York City running a successful business machining parts for drones and helping artists realize their technologically challenging dream projects. He has since relocated to Los Angeles to raise a family, seek new adventure, and spread his unique maker know-how to the west coast builder community.
