MUSICIANS ARE ATHLETES: THE PHYSICAL GAME
Led by Jona Kerr, Director of Classically Trained Fitness and Wellness and Dr. Brian Murer, Manual Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist, Bloomington Sports and Wellness
Saturday April 5, 2-5pm in the Neal Marshall Grand Hall
As a musician, you’re an athlete. Your body requires the same attention and care that elite athletes employ to achieve the highest levels of consistency and quality in performance. This workshop will introduce you to a comprehensive program of preventative and corrective exercise, allowing you to reach your maximum potential, increase career longevity, gain strength, and ultimately perform injury-free. Part lecture, part movement class, we will address the many aspects of performance related repetitive stress. Jona Kerr runs the Jacobs School’s “Classically Trained Fitness and Wellness" program and will be joined by Bloomington manual medicine and rehabilitation specialist, Dr. Brian Murer.
