Milwaukee: Running Virtual Teams – Collaboration Tools and Techniques
Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (CDT)
In todays’ highly connected world, almost all project teams are faced with the challenge of productively working with either remote team members and/or remote stakeholders. The ability to effectively use collaboration/communications technology for key project management activities such as requirements analysis, scope definition, schedule and budget development, risk identification/assessment, and communications planning are essential for project success. Dave and Roy will share their lesson’s learned in running a major Federal project for the last three years using collaboration/communications tools with a virtual team.
During the presentation Dave and Roy will demonstrate the key tools they use to keep the virtual project team motivated, communicating, and sharing. Tools include Microsoft, SharePoint, Project, and EXCEL, as well as WebEx. Core project artifacts will include the project schedule, risk register, and communications plan.
Join us to learn and share your experiences in running virtual teams.
