Milky Way Cafe: a Breastfeeding Support Group.
This program is for the new mom and her baby, up to age one year. The first year of baby’s life can sometimes be stressful and overwhelming. This program is designed to support and give helpful information to new moms. A guest speaker will lead a different topic discussion each week. Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding moms are welcome to attend. Lactation consultants are available for those who are breastfeeding. A weigh scale is available to check your baby’s weight. Lunch is provided. Class fee is $8 per person or 3 sessions for $20 per person.
The last luncheon for 2012 will be held on December 19th. The Milky Way Cafe will not be held on December 26 or on January 2. Please have a wonderful holiday and we will look forward to seeing you on January 9.
For any emergencies, please call 911. For baby questions, you are always welcome to call 407-303-2229.
Florida Hospital Altamonte's Baby Place provides women with more birthing options within the safety of a hospital setting. It is the only maternity unit to offer amenities and choices within a hospital that are often found only in a birthing center. This allows women the opportunity to customize their birth experience, therefore giving them more power and involvement in the birthing process.
Contact the Birth Coordinator at (407) 303-5405 for more information.
For Infant CPR, Fido Meets the Baby, and Anesthesia Classes, all held at the Orlando campus of Florida Hospital, please go to their website: orlandobabyplace.eventbrite.com
