Military Next Steps
Currently serving in the military or as a civilian serving the Department of Defense but concerned about the effects of sequestration? Wondering what is the next step in your career? Or perhaps you are looking for ways to connect your skills with the needs in the civilian world.
Here is what you will learn:
- How to uncover hidden opportunities for work or entrepreneurship.
- How to find and meet the people you need to meet.
- How to bypass the HR department and get to the person doing the hiring.
- How to take control of the process rather than searching and waiting.
This session will be led by Dale Callahan, Ph.D., author of the book, “Resumes Are Worthless,” and Director of the UAB Information Engineering and Management program.
