- Performing & Visual Arts
- Wellfleet Preservation Hall, Wellfleet MA
Join us for our third installment of Food On Film, a new Prez Hall-curated series featuring our favorite movies that weave themes of cooking, cuisine and the joy of food into the storytelling, making for visually sumptuous and delicious viewings! Each film will be paired with a special small dish created by local kitchen maestro Kim Shkapich, and followed with a lively discussion. Tonight's film is a true classic and features one of the most famous actresses of the 20th century - Joan Crawford as MILDRED PIERCE (1945, Dir Michael Curtiz). Her performance as a hard working pie and chicken maven who becomes a successful restuaranteuis a tour de force in this timeless nailbiter, filmed in glorious black and white best appreciated on the big screen. Tickets are $12.00 for adults, $7.00 children 12 and under. Includes the accompanying dish,“Chicken Potpie with Apples and Leeks, topped with Cheddar Cheese Biscuit” served with a lively conversation with Shkapich and Managing Director/series co-producer Vanessa Downing.
