The first Midweek Meditation of 2014 will be Wednesday, January 8th 2014, at 7:00 p.m. We are privileged to have this month’s meditation facilitated by Rebeca Davis. Rebeca currently serves at Unity Church of San Antonio as a Prayer Chaplain. She is also a Reiki Master Level III/ Certified Teacher and follower of the Unity message for the past 30 years.
Start your New Year by joining us in CommUNITY during this meditation. The benefits of meditation are well documented and are a part of a growing body of scientific research. Known benefits of meditation are an improved ability to manage stress and anxiety, as well as an overall sense of wellbeing. Don’t just take our word for it, you can Google “benefits of meditation” and see many articles on the subject online!
In Unity, we meditate to experience our oneness with Source and each other. Meditation is a way of exploring and expressing our Divine Identity. To learn more about meditation, we suggest reading How to Pray Without Talking to God by Rev. Linda Martella-Whitsett or The Golden Key by Emmet Fox.
All are welcome to Midweek Meditation, whether you attend our church or not. Come as you are, there is no particular way to dress, although clothes you are comfortable in will provide a better meditation experience.
Unity Church of San Antonio is an inclusive spiritual community. We welcome, affirm, and uphold everyone, appreciating how the One Presence expresses in wondrous diversity. We welcome into the full life of our spiritual community persons of every ethnicity, language, age, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, economic status, occupation, and faith background.
