- Mobtown Studios, Baltimore MD
Doors open at 7:30. All microshows begin promptly at 8:00pm.
Mobtown Studios is an artist-friendly recording studio owned and operated by producer Mat Leffler-Schulman and designer Emily Leffler-Schulman. We built the studio with the intention of providing a warm living room environment where bands could create records affordably and comfortably.
The studio is located in a large light-filled 1890s converted (and possibly haunted) rowhouse in Baltimore’s historic Charles Village neighborhood, near Penn Station and the Station North Arts District. Our six-room 1,600 square foot facility was masterfully planned by acoustical engineer Julien Robilliard (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft) and employs a variety of innovative and modular acoustical treatments to shape your sound.
We’ve worked with artists on Universal Records, Warner Bros. Records, Thrill Jockey, Tzadik Records, 4AD, Tender Loving Empire, Dorian Records, Analog Edition, Glacial Pace Recordings and Friends Records. Our clients have been featured on Saturday Night Live, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Voice and The Colbert Report.
