Event Details

Unfortunately materials have not arrived.  We're pushing the instructional part of the evening to Tuesday, December 20th.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Micro Monday is for all things microcontroller and electronics related.  We get together twice a month, for classroom stype instruction and show and tell, on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.

Due to the holiday and a special guest, this month we're hosting Micro Monday on the 19th.  Please update your calendars!

At this event we're hosting a representative from Parallax who will be showing off some of their products and giving a hands on lab!

We'll be programming the Parallax Propeller MCU to act as an FM radio, using this kit: http://www.parallax.com/tabid/514/ProductID/773/Default.aspx

You will want to bring a laptop with the Propeller Tool software loaded and a USB A to mini-B cable.  Downloads are available on this page for Windows, Mac & Linux: http://www.parallax.com/ProductInfo/Microcontrollers/PropellerGeneralInformation/PropellerMediaPage/tabid/832/Default.aspx

You will also want to download the code and documentation for the activity, available here:
Code: http://www.parallax.com/portals/0/downloads/docs/prod/prop/quickstart/DIYFMRadioCode.zip
Documentation: http://www.parallax.com/portals/0/downloads/docs/prod/prop/quickstart/910-40000-DIYPortableRadio.pdf
