The Micro-Business Institute at Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc.

Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc. located at 249 N. Craig Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, is the Community Action Agency for the City of Pittsburgh and provides direct services to individuals.

The mission of Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc. (PCSI) is to address the causes of poverty, and to diminish its effects through the development, implementation, sponsorship, and support of programs and activities designed to enable and empower low-income residents to make measurable progress on the continuum from impoverishment to self-sufficiency.

The Micro-Business Institute at PCSI provides a wide range of educational tools as it strives to address the current and prevalent issues of unemployment, underemployment and poverty, with the focus on capitalizing on the inherent talents, skills and abilities of low-wealth residents through micro-business training.  Dedicated to fostering the development of sustainable micro-businesses, the MBI helps to stimulate economic development, self-sufficiency and job creation.
