Invites All Members of the Michigan Junior Chamber to
L.O.T.S. - It's not just for Officers anymore!
Join Jay and the rest of the 2014 Leadership at our "home", the Michigan Jaycees Service Center, in our State's Capitol of Lansing, Michigan, for a training day that will provide a wealth of knowledge and nourishment for your minds! It will equip you with the necessary skills to lead at the local level.
You may have noticed that LOTS has been moved from its usual weekend in January to November and you are probably wondering why. January LOTS has traditionally been focused on the "individual leader", but we've seen a trend where chapters and members want to focus more on "team leadership". Recruiting is not the job of 1 person. Fundraising is not the responsiblity of 1 person. The "new" LOTS will focus on working together as a "TEAM" to achieve the goals and objectives in your chapters. It was moved to November to help chapters develop the "team" approach prior to the start of the year. This way your chapter plans, budgets, and planned projects can be developed using the focus on "TEAM". If you are not an officer or if your chapter has not held elections yet or if you just joined, don't worry! This LOTS will have training opportunities for anyone who wants to help lead in some way at their local level.
"The way a team plays as a whole determines its success. You may have the greatest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don't play together, the club won't be worth a dime." - Babe Ruth.
The new LOTS will consist of 5 Training & Collaboration Blocks with a few Sessions in each block, including "working" Breakfast and Lunch Sessions. (please note these sessions will include food)
