Bus Tour Frequently Asked Questions
Who are you guys? We run Motor City Brew Tours in Detroit. We have been taking folks to Michigan breweries since 2009. We look forward to running bus tours in the Grand Rapids area and showing folks on the west-side all of the great beer being made right in their backyard. Learn more about us at: http://MotorCityBrewTours.com
How much beer will I get on the Brewery Bus Tour? We want you to sample beer on our tours. You typically get to sample 3-4 beer samples at every brewery included in the ticket price. It works out to about 1 pint per brewery.
Will you feed me on the Brewery Bus Tours? The majority of tours include a light lunch (usually pizza or sandwiches) at one of the brewery stops and is included in the ticket price. Water and snacks will be provided on the bus as well as a cooler to store purchases.
What if I am late for a Bus Tour or Beer Festival Bus? We operate on a specific timeline. Please be at the designated departure location at least 20 minutes prior to the tour's start time. Tour start times are firm; however ending times may vary slightly due to weather and traffic. Call the number listed on your ticket with any issues.
What kind of bus will we be traveling on? Michigan Brew Tours works with multiple fully licensed and insured transportation partners. For the majority of our Local Bus Tours, we will be on a 25 passenger shuttle style bus. For Day Trips and Beer Festivals, we typically use a 47 passenger motor coach with a bathroom, cushy seats and TV monitors onboard. Both offer you a safe and reliable way to enjoy the day!
What should I bring on the bus tour? All you need is yourself. While no additional purchases are required, we encourage you to purchase beer from our breweries while you are on the tour. We will provide a cooler for keeping the beer cold on the bus. All of the breweries we visit will be offering beer in growlers and six packs to go. We ask you to not bring any alcohol onto the bus that wasn’t purchased from our tour stops. Michigan Brew Tours follows all state of Michigan liquor/consumption laws. Participants must be 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages on the tours.
Where do the bus tours begin and where should I park? Please see ticket page for exact pickup location.
