In true entrepreneurial form, 1st Equity Title & Closing Services President and CEO Michael Cave sold the wireless technology company he owned with his brother, Rich, for 10 years and entered the realm of real estate. He saw an opportunity to synergize his marketing background and already-established network of real estate attorneys, brokers, mortgage bankers, etc., through selling title insurance and helping his clients grow their businesses.

Applying his unique strategies for developing and growing businesses, Cave has taken 1st Equity in Syosset from a startup business to one of the fastest growing title companies in the United States. In 2013, Inc. magazine recognized 1st Equity as the No. 1 Fastest Growing Title Company in New York State and No. 67 of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Real Estate Companies nationwide. Prior to starting 1st Equity in 2004, Cave also led his wireless communications company to become one of the highest-grossing dealerships in the Northeast. Cave is currently in the process of launching out a few real-estate based web platforms including, Real Estate Round Up and HomeBuyingTips.com – the ultimate hyper local resource for real estate in the Long Island and NY Metro area.

In support of education and research for the fight against breast cancer, Cave founded PinkTie.org in 2011. Initially started, to compel his many contacts in the real estate industry to make a substantial financial impact on breast cancer research on Long Island, PinkTie.org has now partnered with many local charities to help drive resources and funds through networking and sports memorabilia auctions in support of their respective causes. At the inaugural PinkTie.org Event in 2013, he raised $65,000 and had approximately 350 guests. At the second annual PinkTie.org Event this past April, PinkTie.org's fundraising efforts experienced a major growth - raising over quarter million dollars and over 1,100 attendees.

Mike Cave has launched a new initiative under PinkTie.org. PinkTie 1000 is an initiative that will recruit 1,000 professionals to commit to donating $100 each quarter. In turn, members become part of an organization that writes a $100,000 check, four times a year, for charitable organizations that make a direct impact on Long Island.

Cave has earned numerous recognitions for his successful business endeavors. He studied business management and marketing at Stony Brook University.
