Bummer! Sales have ended.
Unfortunately, tickets for this event are no longer on sale.
Teaching and Learning Summits are an opportunity for our corps members and alumni to come together to work on the issues of instructional excellence and justice for kids. This year this opportunity is now open for all alumni to register to participate in this amazing professional development opportunity.
The first main chunk of the day will provide content and instruction support for local and national educational leaders.
Lunch break - Food will be provided :)
The second major chunk is allotted to a book study series we are piloting this year. There are some interesting titles such as:
- Other People's Children by Lisa Delpit
- Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria by Beverly Tatum
- The Art of Critical Pedagogy by Jeff Duncan Andread
(Optional) If you are interested in participating in the Book Study there is a catch, you have to commit to coming to all FIVE Teaching and Learning Summits to fully engage, contribute, and fully participate. If you are up for it - click on the link below to sign up to take a quick survey to sign up and select your book of choice. You will be able to meet your book study group on Saturday!
Lastly, toward the end of the day around 3pm for Alumni - I would love to meet and hang out with you guys a bit. More information will be available during registration.
