Miami Idea Day II, with WHEREby.us and Knight Foundation
Monday, April 8, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
On March 2, more than 200 people joined us for an "idea jam" to brainstorm ideas and projects that could improve Miami. Small teams created pitch posters for 8 awesome ideas, from hacking fire hydrants to creating urban parks under MetroRail.
We want to keep the energy going—and turn these ideas, and others like them, into reality. So we created a community group we're calling WhereBy.Us, to help organize meetings and drive projects. And we're hosting our first meeting to brainstorm some more ideas and get to work on a few.
Whether you're a designer, developer, native Miamian or new resident, we hope you'll join us to discuss and build ideas that make our ridiculous, wonderful city an even better place to live.

ABOUT OUR MIAMI STRATEGY
Knight Foundation invests in community success by creating a system that finds, nurtures and replicates civic innovations built on robust civic engagement. In Miami, the home of the foundation, we support the creatives, entrepreneurs, innovators and agents of change who are shaping the region’s future.
We invest in the spaces and events where innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and academics can meet and connect. The goal is to foster a startup culture, open to the broader community, that helps make Miami a place where ideas are built.
