The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, CineVisun Transmedia and O Cinema present the GMCVB Miami Film Month screening and tour for the made in Miami films "The Beach Chronicles," directed by Kevin Sharpley and "Rising Tide: A story of Miami Artists."

The GMCVB Miami Film Month Tour Experience will be comprised of two parts: a tour of the film’s actual location site and the screening of the film at O Cinema Wynwood, one of Miami’s premier theaters for film screenings.
The tour will be guided by "The Beach Chronicles" filmmaker Kevin Sharpley and "Rising Tide: A Story of Miami Artists" filmmaker Andrew Hevia. The tour bus will start at the world famous Miami destination the Bayside Marketplace in Downtown Miami. Lunch will be served onboard and can be enjoyed as participants move through the designated film locations.
You can also win a chance to have place on a tour bus that will visit some of the locations from the film and hear commentary from The Beach Chronicles creator Kevin Sharpley who will also be on the bus and at the screening for a Q&A session after the film. Winners of the contest also get lunch and get into the screening for free.

THE BEACH CHRONICLES
The animated film "The Beach Chronicles" focuses on Dirk Jenson, a detective living and working on South Beach who is drawn into the biggest battle of all time--the battle for all existence. Part “Miami Vice,” “Blade Runner,” “Chinatown” and “Dune,” the film is a noir mystery thriller that spans all space and time. The film was an official selection at Miami International Film Festival & Fort Myers Beach Film Festival. It has been featured on the PBS program “Art Street,” as well as in the Miami New Times’ article, “The Beach Chronicles Gives South Beach a Neo-Noir Facelift” and the original screening was one of the Miami New Times’ must attend events for The Miami International Film Festival. RISING TIDE: A STORY OF MIAMI ARTISTS:
“Rising Tide: A story of Miami Artists” synopsis - A feature-length documentary produced, directed and edited by Andrew Hevia for WLRN-TV, “Rising Tide” is a story about six Miami artists during the weeks surrounding Art Basel Miami Beach, the world’s largest contemporary art fair. Using a combination of styles, the film explores the impact the art fair culture has had on Miami's growing art scene and what it means to be an art city.

The tour for “The Beach Chronicles” and “Rising Tide: A Story of Miami Artists” will take participants to various locations throughout Miami’s Design District and Arts District (Wynwood), which are featured in both films. The tour will include studios for some of Miami's top artists, the mysterious artifact "The Miami Circle" and the globally-recognized "Wynwood Walls," home to murals by internationally-renowned masters like Shepard Fairey, Kenny Scharf, Ron English, Ryan McGinness, Retna, Nunca, The Date Farmers and many more.
