We're so glad you're planning to come to the first women's retreat for Mars Hill Church Sammamish. The theme for our time away will be abiding in Jesus and finding joy in our obedience to Him, based on John 15:1-17. Our guest speaker will be Kara Bruskas, wife of Pastor Dave Bruskas an executive elder at Mars Hill. Kara and Dave relocated to the Pacific Northwest two years ago. They have four daughters over the age of 15.
You are encouraged to come as you are! Be prepared for a great time of worship, learning and growing.
Alderbrook Resort and Spa is located in Union, Washington and is situated on the Hood Canal. For more information about the resort, go to www.alderbrookresort.com.
Please note there is limited availability for this retreat so register early to ensure a spot!
Dinner will be on your own Friday evening, but we'll fellowship together with a breakfast buffet and plated lunch on Saturday. If you have special dietary needs that Alderbrook can accommodate, please follow the link below.
If there are specific people you'd like to room with, please discuss with them ahead of time and then enter their names at the link provided below. **Updated 1/30 -- The two-person double queen rooms have sold out, and we have some king rooms if two people would like to share a king bed.** Update as of 2/10 -- Due to being almost sold out, roommate requests made as of Feb. 10th may not be honored due to availability.
Mothers of young babies are welcome to bring their wee one, understanding that there is no childcare provided. And thank you in advance for being mindful of the speaker if your baby is fussy. If you'd like to ask that a crib be placed in your room, please follow the link below.
Riding together is a great way to get to know someone and it saves on gas money! Plan to carpool to the retreat which is about two hours away from the eastside. There will be a place on The City and the Facebook event page to post if you'd like to share a ride, or want to offer a ride to others. The directions listed at the bottom are provided by Alderbrook. You can get there by driving down to Tacoma, or include a ferry ride from downtown Seattle as part of your journey.
Please don't let the pricetag of the retreat keep you from attending. If you'd like to attend but need financial assistance, please contact the organizer and we'll make arrangements for you.
