Operations and Planning for All-Hazards Events

December 10-12, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day
Course Length: Three days (24 hours)
Course Overview: The EOC course offers participants insight into, and practical experience with, emergency management and decision-making skills necessary to effectively manage an EOC and the overall response to a large-scale Type 3 or 2 and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)/terrorism incident or all-hazard event utilizing the MACS.
The EOC course is 24 hours in length, with decision-based exercises comprising 8 of the 24 hours. The training will develop and reinforce emergency management, situational awareness, information management, resource management, and decision-making skills for course participants. The course adapts existing National Incident Management System (NIMS) / Incident Command System (ICS) emergency management procedures to the unique requirements of EOC operations.
The course offers the opportunity for participants to practice emergency management and to gain practical experience in individual and group processes necessary to manage an EOC. Each participant will gain a better understanding of the management requirements and skills necessary to effectively coordinate and support the response
