MFA 2012 Workshop - Marketing Bootcamp for Makers
Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 4:50 PM (WAT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Marketing is not for the faint of heart which is why so many inventors shy away from it. Is it really necessary to name your product? To have a logo? How do you find your right audience, and when you do, what do you tell them? By taking this workshop, you’ll learn how to build a personality around your product that communicates its function, as well as attracts the primary audience you are looking for; be it investors, customers, private business, or other inventors. The topics will span from visual consistency to logo design to public speaking through improvisational techniques. You will work with professional communications designers to create a simple brand or logo for, take clear product shots of your invention, learn tips and tricks to help tell the story of your product to potential investors and the media, and generally kickstart your professional image as an inventor.
The workshop will be highly energetic, with lots of sharing, learning from other inventors and actively creating with the designers you’re teamed up with. All in all, a very fun and useful workshop!
