Creating a Turnaround Culture to Close the Achievement/Opportunity Gaps
This workshop is presented by Dr. Kathleen Hickey, GSU College of Education Assessment Coordinator and author of Leadership Practices and Processes in Turnaround Schools. In this program, she presents a framework for understanding how using turnaround strategies can create and sustain a culture of high expectations. Participants will learn how these strategies can improve teaching and learning to close opportunity and achievement gaps. Participants will develop a turnaround plan they can apply in their school to create a culture of opportunity using the turnaround strategies and lessons learned to effectively impact the achievement and opportunity gaps.
