Event Details

One hour of mentoring can change a child’s life and instill a sense of wellbeing. Join the Chamber and Dewey F. Bartlett Jr., Tulsa mayor, as Tulsa’s leading mentoring groups showcase their personal successes and detail how anyone — or any company — can make a difference in a life through mentoring.                                                         

Mentoring opportunities range from sessions with at-risk youth to arranged tours of businesses and employee shadowing. Groups presenting: Skills USA, 3D Elite Student Athletes, AT&T and Junior Achievement, 100 Black Men of Tulsa and Youth Services of Tulsa.

Tulsa Regional Chamber

The Tulsa Regional Chamber hosts a variety of forums to share information on a variety of subjects that affect economic development. Many forums are free and most are held at the Tulsa Chamber offices. Subjects include education, HR, health care, small business and more. EDUCATION FORUMS

Education is the key to ensuring a strong workforce which is why the Tulsa Regional Chamber is dedicated to continually improving education for our students.

Each year we host a minimum of six free education forums on varying subjects. Subjects from the 2012-2013 year included:

  • State Income Tax: Impact on Education

  • Partners In Education* Forum: Project School house & Bond Issues  

  • Any Given Child: Equitable arts in TPS schools
  • Partners In Education* Forum: School Security & Safety

  • Education Summit: Stand For Children

  • Reading Sufficiency

  • Program Management For Youth

*Partners In Education is a partnership program between Tulsa Public Schools and the Tulsa Regional Chamber. Hundreds of Tulsa companies and organizations partner with TPS sites to offer valuable benefits to Tulsa students. Partnerships can benefit from volunteers in the classroom (reading buddies, testing monitors and lunch buddies) as well as donations such as uniforms, school supplies, snacks and financial donations.

HEALTH CARE FORUMS

ealth Care Forums cover a wide variety of subjects but mainly involve health care advocacy, legislation and information that affects small business owners. Topics covered in the past include:

SMALL BUSINESS FORUMS

The Tulsa Regional Chamber offers a monthly forum series geared toward educating area small business owners on a diverse collection of topics, ranging from important tax issues to disaster preparedness and more.

The Tulsa Regional Chamber Small Business Forums feature experts from throughout the community, offering practical advice on matters of great importance to our region’s business.
