Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid is a groundbreaking public education program that helps the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
Participants will learn the potential risk factors and warning signs for a range of mental health problems, the prevalence of mental health problems, the effects of stigma, a 5-step action plan to implement appropriate interventions, and what resources are available to them and their clients.
All participants will receive a complimentary Continuing Education class in The Effects of Trauma across the Developmental Spectrum (10 clinical CEH), which is the first course required for the Certificate in Trauma Response and Crisis Intervention.
Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served.
Parking is available in Deck 1, located at 200 University Avenue, Newark
