MEND 7-13 is a fun, effective and practical lifestyle solution focused on families with overweight or obese children. The key to its success is an integrated approach, combining all of the elements known to both treat obesity effectively and ensure long lasting results.
MEND 7-13 is comprised of 20 sessions that take place over 10 weeks. The training will take participants through the structure of the Program for the Nutrition and Mind Sessions as well as instruction around the measurements required for program monitoring and evaluation.
There is also a separate day of training for MEND Physical Activity Leaders on conducting the exercise component of MEND 7-13. Physical Activity Leaders MUST attend all three MEND 7-13 training days. MEND Mind and Nutrition Leaders are strongly advised to participate in MEND physical activity training; however this is not mandatory.
Please be aware that you will be asked to complete an assessment upon completion of the MEND 7-13 Mind and Nutrition Training, or if you are an Physical Activity Leader, at the end of exercise training. The pass rate is 70%. If you do not attend the exercise training, please note this at the top of your assessment form.
