MSNBC show host and Tulane University Professor of Political Science, Melissa Harris-Perry, Ph.D., will discuss how harmful stereotypes prevent women -especially women of color- from fully realizing their potential in government and society. Harris-Perry is the founding director of the Anna Julia Cooper Project on Gender, Race, and Politics in the South and the author of 'Sister Citizen: Shame, Stereotypes, and Black Women in America."
