Dr. Umar is the kinsman to Frederick Douglas, Certified School and Clinical Psychologist. He is the most sought after Educator, Psychologist, Political Scientist, Pan-Afrikanist, Orator, Award Winning Author and so much more. He is also the founder of I.M.I.P.A.P*Team Pan-Afrikan & N.I.B.P.A.(National Independent Black Parent Association).

As a school psychologist and national expert on learning disabilities; Dr. Umar evaluates children ages 3-21 in an effort to determine if they have educational disabilities and a need for special education services. Dr. Umar also helps schools and parents modify challenging behaviors that can ultimately lead to disruptive behavior disorder diagnoses in Black Boys.
