For your mind to work at its best it needs rest. There is no rest as deep as meditation. In sleep we dream, in the day our mind is thinking about all these little things, but in meditation we get real rest. Meditation gets the mind sharp and clear again, helping to drop worries buzzing around in the back of the mind, and letting you enjoy each moment more fully.
So, if you are tired, stressed, maybe even short tempered, this is a way to feel greater calm and focus.
Each week, we will listen to a guided meditation. Sessions are open to all. No experience required!
About Rohit Gupta:
Rohit grew up in Oakland, CA. After spending most of his youth listening to gangsta rap, punk, and hardcore, he discovered the calming benefits of meditation. With degrees in engineering from USC and Cornell, he works for an investment company and volunteers as a meditation teacher. His teaching highlights include making a participant laugh so hard she snorted, almost getting a student run over, and teaching a student how to play a drum kit.
