Join the Shaolin Institute in an afternoon of Tai - Zen Meditation for Body-Mind-Spirit Well-Being, led Grand Master Shi DeRu, 31st general Shaolin grandmaster.
Raised from his childhood at the Shaolin Temple area in the Henan province of China, Master DeRu has devoted his life to helping people better themselves mentally and physically. He came to the US with a fervent commitment to bring the benefits of this art and way of living form to a place he felt it was needed. Since 1998 DeRu has excelled in establishing the Shaolin Institute, opening three schools; Atlanta, Alabama, and New Orleans; coaching World Championship Kungfu Sanda teams, and extending himself to the country and the community.
Shi DeRu has also conducted healing and wellness seminars for universities and organizations in 60 cities across the US, Japan, Europe, and China. He has been featured more than 10 times on Chinese CCTV international network documentaries, and over 20 times on US national network affiliates. He has a M.S. in Exercise Physiology, B.A. in English, a minor in Biology & Psychology, and O.M.D. equivalent diploma from the Traditional School of Chinese Medicine in China.

SCF is operated under Shaolin World Federation to promote and carry out the Chan (Zen) Arts Teachings & Chan Way of Living to include Chan philosophy, Chan meditation, Tai Gong for Healing, Chan Nutrition, Fine Arts, Music and internal and external Gong Fu (Kung Fu) to preserve the art and culture of the Shaolin Chan Gong Fu around the world. Establish Shaolin Chan Philosophy and Culture and Gong Fu athletes’ networks world wide under the direction of Grand Master Shi Deru, 31st generation Shaolin grandmaster. Taiji includes meditation, Taigong movements to redirect, unblock and balance Qi on the right path in the meridian channels and within the organs for wellness and healing. Other classes incorporate basic flexibility training, a cardiovascular workout, self-defense, and will help to increase your speed and coordination.
