When & Where
We are physicians and medical professionals, health professional students and advocates who want everyone to have guaranteed high quality, comprehensive and affordable health care. We believe the best way to achieve that goal is to improve Medicare and expand it to cover everyone from birth to death.
Providing health care to all as a social benefit, as we do with public education, highways, police, fire and military services, is the best way to achieve health care equality in the United States.
We were founded in 1987 as California Physicians Alliance (CaPA) with the goal of promoting progressive change in health care at the state and national levels. In 1993, CaPA also became the California chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program. For more information, visit our website, www.pnhpcalifornia.org.
