Carol Lieb Himes, workshop presenter, is the Coordinator of the Special Education, Early Intervention, and ACCES-VR Mediation Programs for Manhattan and Brooklyn at the New York Peace Institute. This program provides mediations to resolve disputes between individuals with disabilities, parents of children with disabilities, and service-providing agencies, including the New York City Department of Education and the New York City Department of Health. Carol is also trained to mediate adult/teen (JD/PINS), custody and visitation, and divorce cases. She enjoys mentoring new Special Education and Early Intervention mediators, and has also mentored new mediators.
