ABOUT THE COURSE
Mediation Success: 20 Years of Mediation is an all-new program designed for mediators, lawyers, judges, executives, and others who are interested in being successful in the mediation process. This is not a basic course OR an advanced course in mediation. It is a stand-alone program designed for participants at any level of mediation expertise. So, whether you have been in 1 mediation or 1000, come and learn new ideas that will help you have mediation success!
On a personal note -- I am offering this course at an incredible price of $20 per session to celebrate my 20 year anniversary as a mediator and mediation trainer! This is a great big "Thank You" to the thousands of professionals who have attended my programs in Alabama over the years!
The Art of Mediation (Morning Session): 8:30 am -- 11: 45 am
[Check-in begins at 8:15 am]
This ALL NEW program will focus on tips, techniques, and ideas that lead to success in mediation. If you have ever found yourself stuck in an impasse or dealing with a difficult party or client in mediation, you will want to discover the proven strategies we will cover in this session. Three (3) hours of CLE credit.
The Science of Mediation (Afternoon Session): 1:15 pm -- 4:30 pm
[Check-in begins at 1:00 pm]
This ALL NEW program will focus on what 20 years of research, statistics and experience have taught us about the science of mediation. Why do otherwise rational people act irrationally in mediation? And, more importantly, what can you do about it? How does the brain, emotions, and ego affect mediation outcomes? What can you do in your role to encourage success in mediation? You will be amazed at what science and research can teach YOU about mediation. Three (3) hours of CLE credit, including 1 ethics hour.
The Art and Science of Mediation (Full Day Event): 8:30 am -- 4:30 pm
[Check-in begins at 8:15 am] [Lunch on your own from 11:45 -- 1:15]
See full description of each session above. You may register for 1 session or both sessions. Keep in mind that each session is strictly limited to 20 participants, so you will probably not be able to add a session later if the course sells out quickly. If you attend the full day event, you are eligible for six (6) hours of CLE credit, including 1 ethics hour.
