Leadership Program for Latino Children

Leadership Program for Latino Children is a social responsibility program of MBC Group addressing leadership, cultural and educational defficiencies in children through activities, seminars, wokshops, showcases radio/tv shows.

LPLC Magic of Hybrid KIDS “a Healthy, Bright Latino KID”

The Leadership Program for Latino Children (“LPLC”) partners with parents this summer to inspire kids to lead healthier lifestyle and learn 21st century life skills through engaging content, meetups, summer camps, workshops, useful tools and unique experiences. This initiative helps parents by making summer vacations an entertaining continuing education season, with physical activity and hands on activities that encourage leadership in kids as well as an opportunity to practice Español. We plan to inspire Latino families to get up, get outside, and get active! With fun new leadership challenges, kids and families can discover their strengths, work as a team, and use television/media as a tool to explore leadership roles, be creative and develop personal effectiveness.

About LPLC MEETups!

Each week in July, LPLC is hosting leadership meetups, where hybrid kids can immerse in  interactive museum exhibits, at dynamic, state-of-the-art facilities that bring technology, creativity and art such as: Sony Wonder Lab, Museum of the Moving Image, Metropolitan Museum of Art; in addition to coaching lessons that develop leadership skills that make summer learning experiential, entertaining and fun. This initiative shows kids that small, simple actions every day can add up to big results.  From robots to Picasso, from Joda to kings, from TV studios to video production on their cell phones, Kids will explore cool characters, play with digital tools on video editing and post-production and will stand from the crowd with new skills. Every Meet up runs on Saturdays during the month of July from 11-2PM.

About the Leaders to Leaders Initiative

The innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship initiative is an unprecedented youth development platform based on LPLC’s unwavering belief in the power of Hybrid Kids, Latino Youth, to imagine, innovate and lead. This model of roundtables/showcases in the studio supports the successful formula of Learn-Practice-Deliver-Challenge in our curriculum, which Hybrid Kids have been using since 2006. This formula has had great response with underserved Latino kids as they get inspired to dream, finish high school education and enroll in prestigious universities as well as to be part of Hybrid kids’ entrepreneurial/leadership Leader to Leaders Talks that connects them with CEO’s, leaders, professionals and community mentors who can share their knowledge and help the LPLC students bring their ideas, projects and dreams to reality.  The Leaders to Leaders Initiative accomplishes this by giving Hybrid Kids the opportunity to develop their personal and relational effectiveness and skills through access to mentors and exposure to better learning opportunities. This initiative runs every LPLC semester.

We hope kids have tons of fun this summer that parents can take advantage of this program and all can lead a brighter and healthier future!
