OFFER is "Planting Seeds of Hope" to commemorate ME/CFS and FM Awareness Day this year by hosting an open house. Join us to connect with other patients and families and learn about CURRENT information on a variety of illness management topics at the Information Stations. Tickets are not required but we need you to RSVP to ensure adequate chairs and materials will be available.
AGENDA AND ACTIVITIES
Presentation: Lucinda Bateman, MD, OFFER Executive Director and Fatigue Consultation Clinic Physician will give a brief presentation at 1:30 p.m. and will repeat it at 3 p.m.
Information Stations: Do you find it hard to keep-up on research for ME/CFS & FM? OFFER assembled a team of volunteer researchers to collect and tailor it just for you. Current information will be available on topics including Nutrition, Self-help, Caregiving, Emergency Preparedness and more.
Youth: A special room for youth and young adult patients to connect with one another. Therapy animals will also be there.
OFFER Boutique: The OFFER Boutique will have many quality items to purchase that offer inspiration and reminders of support and turtle fun: frames, jewelry, towels and children's items to name a few.
Drawings: Our sponsors are donating gifts to be given away through drawings throughout the afternoon: Barnes & Noble, Edible Arrangements, Wintersteiger, Rumbi's + massages, financial reviews, and many more!
Refreshments: Light refreshments will be tasty and healthy including some gluten and sugar-free selections, plus fresh made-on-the-spot popcorn.
OFFER Patient Conference: Register for the ME/CFS and FM patient conference scheduled for September 13, 2014. Information on the healthcare provider conference will be available for patients to give to their healthcare providers.
There will be plenty of chairs, tables and gathering areas to sit and
rest and to share information and friendship.
