Event Details

Suze Shaffer is the Security Engineer for Data Tech. She performs Security Risk Assessments for medical practices to ensure they meet their HIPAA Guidelines. With so many Government Auditors investigating Medical Practices on their HIPAA Compliance and Meaningful Use criteria, it is now a necessary part of running a practice.  She shows practices an easier way to get the job done!

Suze Shaffer and Scott Dollar will be presenting an overview of what the OCR and CMS are looking for in terms of IT Security and the new HIPAA Omnibus Final Ruling. We will explain what a Security Risk Analysis should include to meet the new HITECH Law.  Most importantly how to protect your practice and avoid the hefty fines the government agencies are handing out!
