If you are unable to attend this event note that we will be offering the MBE University Summer Lunch & Learn Series starting this July and our next MBE University Conference will be held in Baltimore City on November 5, 2013.
The Governor's Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA), in collaboration with Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, invites you to join us in Silver Spring for the MBE University Conference on June 27, 2013. This year, our spring event will center its theme around Pathways to Procurement with public and private entities. This power-packed conference will include one-to-one accelerated matchmaking with top companies from around the region. Sign-up for the matchmaking sessions will take place during the morning networking segment there is no pre-registration for the sessions.
In addition to the matchmaking sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to connect with area organizations in the Expo Hall that will open from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Registrations will include a power lunch with keynote address and White House Briefing on Small Business from David Hinson, National Director of the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and opening session remarks from Special Secretary Zenita Wickham Hurley and County Executive Isiah Leggett. There is no cost to attend, space is limited and pre-registration is required. In order to reach as many small, minority-and woman-owned businesses as possible, seating is only available to MBEs and the public/private entities participating in the event.
