MBA Women International Takes on Hunger 101
Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PDT)
Founded in 1979, the Atlanta Community Food Bank distributes over 30 million pounds of food and donated grocery items each year to over 700 nonprofit partner agencies in 38 counties in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. As part of our effort to give back to the Atlanta community, MBA Women International (formerly NAWMBA) will be working at the food bank and learning about hunger and its effect on our community. We invite you to join us!!
On June 9, 2012 we will spend the morning working in the Product Recovery Center from 9am-12pm. We will break for lunch from 12-1 and then participate in a Hunger 101 workshop beginning at 1pm. The workshop is just over an hour long.
As an organization devoted to empowering women in business and moving women to the C-suite, we feel it is essential to support women and children who are struggling just to have the nourishment they need to get up and go to work. Hunger is a serious issue in this country and around the world. Join us on June 9th to find out what you can do to be a part of change in our community.
