Also Art Freed from Hot Pixel Post in Hollywood will wow us by showing us how he does “extreme looks” using DaVinci Resolve.
Also filmmaker and composer for TV and Film, Kenn Michael, will show how he uses Logic Pro to tackle any and every music challenge. He will score a scene live in realtime, first using available loops from Apple's included JamPacks, and then again without the loops in the traditional compositional workflow.
Bummed by the possibility that the Mac Pro is dead? The ProMax One might be the answer and Nate Cooper will show it to us.

Join Gurus Andrew Balis, Michael Kammes and Larry Jordan as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning FCS and FCPX, Avid, Premiere Pro and anything else you can think of. If they can't solve your problem or answer your question, then you go home with a problem, but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.

8:55PM - 9:20PM - "Creating Extreme Looks for Big Impact" - Art Freed, Bruce Goodman and Eric McClain
The Colorists from HotPixel will be doing a demo on Da Vinci Resolve creating extreme looks for big impact. Bruce Goodman and Eric McClain will demo what they look for in a shot and how they take it from flat to stunning. Bruce and Eric have over 30 years experience between them in the color timing room. They will give their take on how to look at a shot to analyze the best approach to making that shot jump off the screen.
About Bruce Goodman
Bruce Goodman frequently freelances for HotPixel Post with over fifteen years of experience color grading both episodic television and feature films for some of the entertainment industry’s most prestigious filmmakers. With a keen eye for color grading that strives to always enhance the storytelling process without ever overpowering it, Bruce has been a trusted collaborator with Academy award winning cinematographers such as Roger Deakins, Caleb Deschanel, and Vilmos Zsigmond. His credits include the feature films “No Country For Old Men”, "Get Low", “My Sister’s Keeper”, “The Kite Runner”, "Man On Fire" and “Zack & Miri Make A Porno” along with the episodic television shows “The Shield”, “Angel” and “One Tree Hill”.

About Eric McClain
I began my professional career in 1992 as a telecine assistant at Henninger Media Services located in the historic Georgetown section of Washington, D.C. There at Henninger we exclusively performed the mastering for the ad campaign of Bill Clinton’s first Presidential election. The company also edited and color enhanced numerous documentaries for the award winning National Geographic “Explorer” television series. Additionally, I worked closely with sensitive government materials gaining security clearances from the U.S. Government.
After several years of working in Georgetown, I relocated to Los Angeles in 1999. Since then I have served as the Director of Photography on a number of independent films and music videos. I then obtained a Colorist position at The Post Group and have colored the dailies on popular television shows, which include Crime Scene Investigation (C.S.I.), House, Numbers, Law & Order, Dark Blue, Nikita and The Cape. I have also performed the dailies on the feature films Grindhouse, The informers, Hellride and Mean Girls 2 among others.
