James N. Outland, Jr.
James Outland, Jr. currently serves as the Minister of Music at Progressive Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. His visionary leadership has consistently been Holy Spirit inspired to lead the worship ministry in its endeavor to create the atmosphere that inspires believers to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Due to his God given ability, Minister Outland’s musical leadership became evident as he took on the roles of director, pianist, guitarist, arranger and composer.
Inspired by his personal commitment to Christ, Minister Outland’s musical experience grew in quality and maturity as he travelled to the following nations: Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo and the United States of America where he faithfully served and developed his multi genre Christian music-ministry, embraced and felt across cultures.
James N. Outland, Jr. graduated from Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina with a B.A. in Business Administration and a minor degree in Management Information System. Other educational achievement includes a Diploma in Ministry studies from the Victory International Bible School in Tema, Ghana and a Diploma from West African Computer Science Institute in Accra, Ghana where he studied computer engineering. Minister Outland’s educational background reflects a dynamic mixture of ministry, management and computer technology that has become invaluable assets as he confronts the reality of the modernization of today’s Worship Gatherings. Minister Outland has been gifted with a passion for ministry excellence and exhibits a unique commitment for the development of the total man; spirit, soul and body; for the work of the ministry.
