We will explore strategies and techniques that teach fractions and word problems in ways that align to the CCSS and support the Standards for Mathematical Practice. Bring your textbooks and student materials as we make plans to implement these strategies in your classroom instruction. Three additional days will be scheduled throughout the school year where we will continue to discuss strategies and techniques, and will also look ahead AND begin to understand how the CCSS will impact math instruction in the years to come. Limited to 35 participants.
