Having trouble keeping up with regular writing? Worried about long papers?
Regardless of whether you have a thesis, seminar paper, or other project to work on, Spring Break can a good moment to catch up, even while you're taking a deep breath. At the same time, it can feel difficult to get motivated and isolating to work--especially when it seems like no one is on campus, and there's no class to attend.
From March 24-31, join master's students from across programs for three hours (9AM-12PM) of intensive writing each day. Graduate Student Affairs will provide coffee and breakfast on Day One, and lunch every day. Lunch is from 12-1. You're free to keep writing after!
There will also be guest speakers and even mini-massages to connect you with resources and help you de-stress.
The Master's Program Write-In is part of MARCH TERM, a series of events and resources that take place during Spring Break. Keep your eye out for other opportunities.
Graduate Student Affairs, in the Provost's Office of the University of Chicago, aims to "Advise, Support, and Connect" graduate students. GSA provides fellowship advising, family support, funding for conference travel for master's students, and opportunities for alumni to engage with current students and each other.
