Marriage Equality and Reproductive Rights: Lessons Learned and the Road Ahead

This half-day public conference, organized by the Columbia Center for Gender & Sexuality Law, will highlight lessons learned through the successful, multifaceted challenge to the federal Defense of Marriage Act and explore how those lessons might apply in ongoing gender and sexuality law work on marriage equality and reproductive rights.

9:00am - 10:30am | Panel I - Litigating the Cases: DOMA Undone; Marriage and Abortion Access Battles Ahead

10:45am - 12:15pm | Panel II - Advocacy Outside the Courtroom: Legislative, Media, and Community Advances and Challenges

12:30pm | Lunch - Conversation with Edie Windsor

All sessions will take place in the first floor of Jerome Greene Hall, 435 W. 116th St. RSVP is not required any session but highly encouraged for lunch.
