Marketing to the Max: Publicity for Children's Book Authors & Illustrators
Author and publicist Susanna Reich and author/illustrator Melanie Hope Greenberg will share tips on what you can do to promote your published book. They will talk about how to prioritize your marketing time and money, work with an in-house publicist, reach out to local media, craft a press release, develop contact lists, and identify and exploit your book's niche. Online marketing will be covered too, with a special focus on social networking, author and illustrator websites, blogging, and blog tours.
Melanie Hope Greenberg has illustrated 16 picture books, six of which she has written. Her Mermaids on Parade Blog was recently selected as one of the "100 Best Book Blogs for Kids, Tweens and Teens."
Susanna Reich is an award-winning children's book author and the Account Services Manager at Raab Associates, Inc.
