Be part of this 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Party. We're starting a new tradition in Boston and we want you to be a part of it. Its an evening of fun for all Unbound Visual Arts members, guests and friends. We'll have a live band, Confederacy of Dumpsters, heavy hor d' hoeuvres appropriate for Mardi Gras, a cash bar, a slideshow of members artwork, a raffle to win some great prizes. Costumes, beads and masks encouraged. Come and be part of the excitement. Share a good time with artists and art supporters from throughout the area. We'll provide basic masks and the decorating materials and you can design one that's just right for you. We'll also provide the beads, because its not Mardi Gras without plenty of beads.
Don't know what Mardi Gras is all about? No problem, it's basically a huge world wide celebration that happens every year to start the Spring. It really a big deal in New Orleans and most Latin American and European countries. In some countries, it called Carnevale. Mardi Gras is also referred to as "Fat Tuesday" because theoretically its the last day to indulge before Lent sets in. But, everyone can celebrate that start of Spring!
