Chapter Awards and "Top 10 Tips for Effective Leadership"


In honor of our awards luncheon, Julie Willoz will give us an inspirational mini-workshop which will provide us with the leadership tools to make a difference in our organization whether we are an in-house PR practitioner, living the agency life or a freelancer working with clients individually. This Top Ten-Style review of action items will help every PR leader improve his or her ability to inspire and manage their team immediately. Each tip includes real life applicable examples to make you a PR Superstar.

Julie Willoz has been working as a public speaking professional in a variety of roles for over 12 years. Through Willoz Consulting, Julie works with organization's to develop their leadership, customer service, and business communication skills. The majority of her professional experience stems from her time with the Walt Disney World Resort. Her insights have contributed to two books, “Employee Engagement: Lessons from the Mouse House” and “I Got my Dream Job and So Can You.” Although she retired her mouse ears in 2009, Julie is a member of the Tulane faculty and has worked with a variety of organizations and individuals to understand leadership skills and attributes as well as how to implement them immediately.
