March Alumni/Student Career Networking Salon
Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (EDT)
What are you going to do with your degree from SMPA?
Would you like to learn how to achieve the career of your dreams?
Sign up for SMPA's "Second Floor Salon" Networking events!
Join us on Wednesday, March 20 at 6:00pm, for the second SMPA Alumni/Student Career Networking event of 2013. At this event, students will have the opportunity to meet several alumni who have used their SMPA degree to pursue careers in journalism. Held each spring to help SMPA students make connections, these events are for SMPA majors and MA students ONLY.
This is not your average panel discussion - at this intimate event, alumni will sit at tables and small groups of students will have a chance to ask direct questions. Previous SMPA students have found jobs via contacts made at this event - don't miss it!

When & Where
The School of Media and Public Affairs
The School of Media and Public Affairs is an established thought leader for teaching and research in the areas of political communication, journalism, global communication and documentary filmmaking. We have pioneered two of those fields, offering Journalism classes since 1938 and establishing the world’s first Political Communication major in 1982. Our classes are taught by full-time professors and successful adjunct professionals with recognized reputations in their field and a dedication to publishing with and mentoring our student body.
The only communication school in the center of the world’s politics and media capital, the School of Media and Public Affairs brings Washington D.C. into our classrooms and our students out into the city.
