Join us as we welcome Academy Award winning film editor Alan Heim to lafcpug. Alan will speak about his extraordinary career, the craft of editing, show clips from some of some of his movies and take questions from the audience. And if that is not enough, we will have another round of Stump The Gurus, Show and Tells and of course, World Famous Raffle.

Join FCS Gurus Stephen Kanter Misha Tenenbaum and Guru to be named later as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning FCS. If they can't solve your problem or answer your question, then you go home with a problem, but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.
7:20PM - 7:30PM - Announcements (if time available)
This is a chance to get up and ask for a job, offer job opportunities, announce your film or service, or tell a bad joke. lafcpug will also have a few announcements on its future.

Academy Award winning film editor Alan Heim will speak about his extraordinary career and the craft of editing. We intend to show clips from some of the movies he has edited throughout his career and discuss them. Introduction reel will be by Stacy Pietrafitta. Michael Horton will play James Lipton.
About Alan Heim
Alan Heim is an American film editor with more than thirty feature-film credits. He had an extended collaboration with the director Bob Fosse; Heim's editing of Fosse's film, All That Jazz (1979), was honored by the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, the BAFTA Award for Best Editing, and the American Cinema Editors Eddie Award.
He was born in Bronx, New York. He was elected as a member of the American Cinema Editors, and served as the president of the organization from in 2006.

In the lobby will be many FCS Gurus. This is your chance to ask questions. No questions? Then talk to each other. The break is a chance to hang out and meet and greet and get your problems solved and who knows, get a job. You never know who you are going to meet at lafcpug. Snacks and Beer and Wine will be on sale in the lobby. Proceeds go to the Gallery Theater.

9:45PM - 9:55PM - Behind the Scenes of Death Race 2." - Show and Tell - Chip Bolcik
Filmmaker Chip Bolcik went to South Africa and shot behind the scenes for the movie Death Race 2. He then edited the footage into podcasts. Chip will show a couple of those podcasts.
