Carol's Crusade for a Cure

Mani-for-a-Cure is a Carol's Crusade for a Cure (CCFAC) event. CCFAC was founded in 2013 by a group of family and friends in memory of Carol Eilbott Klebanow. Battling triple negative breast cancer over the last 8 years of her life, Carol was a true fighter and had an absolute determination to fight and win. She courageously fought this aggressive disease while comforting and uplifting others by instilling her enormous fortitude in life in everyone around her. Through various initiatives, CCFAC will continue to honor Carol's life and the values she possesseed by continuing the fight to help find a cure for triple negative breast cancer.

For more information about CCFAC, please visit Carol's Crusade for a Cure Foundation.

Triple negative breast cancer is one of the most aggressive subtypes of breast cancer. A diagnosis of TNBC means that the tumor in question doesn't exhibit any of the three known receptors and therefore cannot receive receptor-targeted treatment. Without any targeted treatments, TNBC tends to be more aggressive, more likely to recur, and more difficult to treat. For patients with triple negative breast cancer, early detection is not enough. More awareness and funding is needed to help develop targeted treatments to find a cure for patients with triple negative breast cancer.
