Managing Adults & Difficult Conversations

One of the great challenges in becoming a leader is learning how to manage adults. We all dread and have to face difficult conversations. Perhaps someone is not meeting a responsibility, or is overwhelmed by their workload or has a conflict with the school over an issue. Such conversations are never easy but there are strategies to make such conversations productive and effective. This session will offer several strategies to help improve your skills in having such conversations and provide strategies and practice in getting better at having them.
The Instructor: Jamey Verrilli has over 20 years of experience as an educator. Mr. Verrilli co-founded North Star Academy Downtown Middle School and was a school leader for 15 years. He is currently the Dean of Relay GSE Newark and an instructor in the Relay GSE Leadership program.
