Malta - 2016 Pipeline Emergency Response Training

Montana Liquid and Gas Pipeline Association (MLGPA) is excited to announce our 8th year of Pipeline Awareness! These meetings, sponsored by the pipeline companies, are for pipeline emergency preparedness. YOU and ALL members of your organization are invited to attend a FREE pipeline safety emergency response tabletop exercise. In cooperation with the Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS), Department of Transportation (DOT), Montana Utility Coordinating Council (MUCC), Underground Utilities Locater Center (UULC) and Pipeline Association for Public Awareness (PAPA), pipeline operators are sponsoring meetings at various locations throughout the state. A meal and a Case Study of the 2011 Silvertip Pipeline Release in Yellowstone County will be provided to educate members of your agency in the efforts and coordination needed by local emergency responders and pipeline operators. These meetings will provide you with important response information to assist in managing a potential pipeline emergency. This includes familiarization with the pipeline facilities in your area, emergency pipeline contact information, available educational resources and the expectation for all parties to provide the highest level of public safety.
